Getting started
We can help you transfer your existing cell phone or landline phone number, as long as your phone number is eligible and is active at the time of the transfer. Number transfer requests are also subject to approval by your previous carrier. Read the common questions to learn more.
We don't charge a fee to transfer your phone number. However, there may be an early termination fee with your previous carrier.
Jitterbug phone users
Make sure your Jitterbug phone is powered on and has cellular service.

We’ll ask a few questions about your old carrier and guide you through requesting a transfer.
Tip: It is helpful if you have a copy of a recent phone bill or have access to your online account from your old carrier. You will be asked to provide some account information.
SIM card kit users
To transfer your current phone number to your new SIM card, call the Lively team at 1-866-233-3436.

For Jitterbug Phone Users

No, your phone number must remain active with your carrier until the transfer is complete.
It typically takes up to 3 days to transfer a cell phone number, and 5-10 days to transfer a landline phone number. Keep in mind that the process could take longer depending on the accuracy of the information provided to us and the speed of your old carrier in releasing your phone number.
For your security, you will need to provide some account information on file with your previous carrier, such as account number and billing name and address. You can find most of the information on a recent phone bill from your carrier or by logging into your account on your carrier’s website or app.
If you are transferring your phone number from another cellular company, you may also need to request a Number Transfer PIN. When you are ready to transfer your phone number, log into your Lively account and we will help you understand what information is required.
Once we have your account information, we’ll contact your previous carrier to complete the transfer. Assuming there are no errors in the account information provided, your phone number will be released and reassigned to your new Jitterbug phone.
The timeframe depends on how quickly your carrier responds. This process can happen in as little as an hour, but for cellular companies it can take up to 3 days, and for landlines the process typically takes 5-10 days.
When the phone transfer has completed, your old phone will stop working and you will need to restart your Lively device to complete the process. Please keep your phones turned on and charged in case we need to contact you regarding your phone number transfer.
